Welcome to The Inventory Company

The Inventory Company is run and owned by Trudy Ross and Clare Seaby, who collectively have 25 years experience working in the lettings industry; including running a successful independent ARLA member Letting Agency in West Sussex.
Trudy and Clare have both been individual ARLA members since 2000, and they, and the company are members of the AIIC, and have professional indemnity and public liability insurance. They have attended ARLA and AIIC courses, and have excellent knowledge of the industry as a whole.
The Inventory Company is a professional company that produces high quality inventories, check-in, check-out and mid term inspections for Landlords and Letting Agents across West Sussex.
We produce inventories, check-in, check-out and inspection reports that are comprehensive, easy to read and readily understandable. Digital photographs are included in all of our inventories at no extra cost. All standard reports are produced within two business days of the visit to the property, then either hand delivered, sent out first class or emailed.
Our office is centrally based in Arundel, so we can easily cover anywhere in West Sussex.
Why use us
Due to the introduction of the Tenancy Deposit Scheme on the 6th April 2007, it is now paramount that Letting Agents and Landlords have professional inventories/schedule of condition carried out on their properties.
In a recent case study by The Dispute Service (a Government Approved Scheme Administrator) they stated that "it clearly shows the need for independent adjudication and proper inventory and condition reports. These are the tools that remove the mountains from the molehills of deposit disputes. Adjudication also dramatically underlines the advantage of proper inventories that have been checked at both the beginning and end of every tenancy".
Below are some benefits of using us for your inventory reports and inspections:-
Bookings
These can be made by phone, email or fax. We fit in with the times that suit you, which can include evening or Saturday appointments.
Time
We take the time to visit the property so that we can prepare a comprehensive report. We understand what it is like to run a letting agency, and having the inconvenience of using a member of staff to prepare and produce an inventory, which is not cost effective.
Detail
We detail all items as fully and clearly inside and outside a property. This will then minimise disputes at the beginning and end of a tenancy.
Report
This is either delivered by email, by hand or by first class post as a wire bound document with a clear plastic cover, and are prepared within two business days of the visit.
Photographs
We take pictures of the inside and outside of the property, along with the individual rooms. We also photograph any obvious damage or valuable/antique items. While not sufficient evidence alone, photographs can provide further clarification to the comments in the report.
